Orthopaedists -- surgery or not?

Hell I had a double compound fracture of the tibia & fibula with nothing but a cast, (more like 6-7). You don't need no stinkin' pins. :D
Of course I had a dislocated & fractured finger with a pin required. ok ok ok, get a pin!!

Not an ortho but unless another view looks bad, I'd not look for surgery.

My bet is that they tape the other two to the fx one to provide a splint that way...buddy system.. At least on other should work if you can immobilize the joint/knuckle below the fx...
