Sprint - Any Good?
How is Sprint's coverage, service, and speed?
I ask after reading this article: "In a press release Thursday, Sprint said that this deal would apply to both new and existing customers who sign up for Sprint’s new Unlimited, My Way, or My All-In plans. The deal will be available starting Friday, July 12, 2013 for just $80 per month. “Sprint continues to lead the industry in providing customers with simplicity and value,” Sprint CEO Dan Hesse said in a statement. “The Sprint Unlimited Guarantee allows our customers to lock-in unlimited talk, text, and data not for just the next two years, but for life. Sprint customers won’t have to worry about their wireless bill or managing their family’s wireless usage. While other wireless providers are moving away from unlimited service, Sprint champions it.” Eeeeeenteresting. |
Yes, it should be unlimited, for every customer.
The telephony corporations pay only $.11 per GB. They charge the customer 1,000x that. I am biased against Sprint: I was on a family plan same as the one OP advertised. Light usage for everyone. Bills became $400+/mo, instead of the advertised $90/mo. Even written records were convoluted and did not make any sense. They claimed my Sprint phone did not shut off, then billed for 24/7 usage. The account showed 99% usage on a different phone. Customer service was inadequate, to say the least. I would not recomend Sprint, but it may be better that AT&T. |
Ive been with them for years. Great coverage for everywhere I travel to. Their LTE (4G) is really fast. My only gripe is they are transitioning to LTE "sometime soon" in my town and seem to be not maintaining their old system to well. I assume in anticiation of replacing it all. Thats fine except its been a year or so now with holes in service in my home town. Very annoying. Im sort of tied to them because of a really good employee discount that I cant give up.

I am using sprint for internet via millenicom and even though I have 3 towers within 5 miles and 1 is upgraded to LTE the best speed I can get is .1 mbps and a latency of between 500 and 1200 ms. We left sprint 6 years ago because the coverage sucked and it still sucks therefore I have to say SPRINT SUCKS

Sprint bandwidth manages by dropping calls.
Hate 'em. |
