High Alpine Lake Hike - Seattle.
Hiked into and went Camping up at 3400 foot level at a high Alpine Lake 2 hours east of Seattle.
180 degree view photo. ![]() can you say "old growth timber?"...............between the finger spread alone is 60 years, keep counting the logs outer rings from there..........OLD, things grow slow at altitude.,,,,,,, ![]() Great fishing too............... ![]() ![]()

Beautiful pics, but doesn't look alpine. At my latitude alpine starts around 9K ft. and above in altitude. Most likely better fishing than most alpine lakes though.

Cascade mtns are lower in elevation than the rockies or the sierra mtns thou have some of the tallest in north America not counting Alaska. We start at low elevation 1000 ft or less, Rainier tops out at 14,411 ft. and a lot of the mtn is still in glacier cover which is above timberline.
