Wonder? What are you thinking? This could be useful to keep track of the phone you provide for your child or to keep track of yours if you share it.
On a side note, I have noticed a couple of young parents who do not keep their phones locked and let their kids play games, download new games, and presumably have access to their parent's IMs and mail. There seems to be a different attitude towards privacy lately. It's not for me.

There was a recent story about a toddler that "bought a car" on EBAY. The stupid parents let the kid play with the phone. She saw the photo of the car and hit the buy it now button and bingo.
