TR6 values have gone up up up while 911 has stayed flat.

Helped that Top Gear voted the TR6 the "ultimate blokes car" in the last season.

Simple engineering. Very dirt cheap parts widely available. When I first flipped thru a Moss Motors catalog I could not stop giggling and mumbling "everything is so cheap!" after 12 years of buying 911 parts

Great car. Agree with the comment above that it's the only car you'll never want to sell.

TR6-R is the Tiger 650 motorcycle. Had a 72 that I wish I still had.

Also had a 71 TR6 car. Loved it. Easy to DIY, reliable and great looking.

I love mine...and what's not to like about it? Tastefully styled, drives pretty well despite a lot of flex, wonderful sounding, long stroke inline six, and very reliable for an English car.

I derive some comic value from disembarking my 6 in a parking lot. I'm 6'5", and am a sight to see when I get out (and get out, and get out, and keep on getting out) and stand up as the windshield frame is just above my waist. I've been laughed at before because of that.:D

actually, the lights were a bit dim on it...

she drove it up a steep gravel road (to a vineyard she & her husband own) for the party - pretty funny as several other people got stuck - one even in an AWD vehicle

she got it (used from a guy on the coast) at 21 while in college; said she only wanted the TR-6 (partly b/c it was French Blue her fav color) - she did not consider Fiats, Alfas, MGs or anything else - not clear why

one of her sons showed up in a magnificent BMW 3.0 CS coupe in anthracite - the best example I have seen of one in the last couple of decades

another friend took a photo of the TR-6 & said she'd Email it to me; if so I'll post it

Nice little cars. I would buy one in a minute if priced right.

Blue Streak six cylinder weren't they? Same as Kimberly, Wolseley, P76 and a number of other miserable efforts from the BMC clan.

I just saw this today. It was damn cool. Tr4. I think. I might sell the nine to get a cool cruiser ragtop.

I don,t think those other Leyland cars used the Triumph Six. It was however used modified to overhead camshaft form in the Rover SD1. The TR6 engine was capable of plenty of power increase using mainly bolt on parts. I had an easy reliable 200bhp out of mine.
