I just saw the best State inspection sticker forgery that I have ever seen.

Local cop comes in this morning to harass me. Tells me that he has pulled over a vehicle with a bunch of fradulent equipment ,with a fresh sticker on it that is registered to my shop, and he hands me the sticker. Thankfully, he was just kidding, ,I'm not in any hot water, and he just wanted to show me because it was so funny.
The guy had also had forged his license plate sticker. I guess the officer ran his tags, because he looked suspicious, and when it all came back , his license was under dui suspension. The sticker was made on the back of a Pabst Blue Ribbon box. Classic!. IT was an awesome forgery, though, guy must have been a grahpic artist. I honestly could not tell it was a fake, until I had it at arms length, and looked at the back of the sticker.
He said , that after the court date, he will frame it and give it to me. I should have snapped a photo , but not sure of the protocal of taking pictures of evidence, and putting it on the web.

I used to live in the Burgh and, IIRC, you get two windshield decals - one for safety and one for smog. I don't think a cop could catch those. But if you have a fake registration decal on your plate, wouldn't that mean you have a a fake registration card or none at all? That'd be a problem the cop could easily catch.

Emissions inspections are county to county here . I am about 10 miles outside of Allegheny county, in Butler county, and we do not have an emissions inspection per se here. They started to implement it about 10-12 years ago here, but dropped the program.
They made a "visual" emissions inspection part of the States Safety inspection here. We just have to verify that all the factory emissions equipment that the car left the factory with is still in tact, and has not been tampered with. Cars only get one sticker in non emissions counties.
His license plate sticker was also a good forgery. But you just cannot beat the computer. His car was NOT registered, but he did at least have insurance.
