I found garbage in my garbage!
Went down to the street today to collect my 90 gallon trash and yard waste bins, only to find them stuffed and overflowing with,.. someone else's garbage!
Looks like someone cleaned out a 20 year old corner of a garage. Real garbagey type trash. Part of an old carpet, garage floor sweepings, some sorta fake pearl 70's curtain...real dirty, filthy crap, and stuff strewn around the bins. Filled to the brim, on both of them, A quick look, hoping to find a piece of mail, revealed a 1992 swim team trophy for the Triangle Tigersharks, a local swim team at some sorta member's only pool fairly close by. Awarded to a Christopher Weiss. Interesting. Time to do a little detectiving. There's one just a couple miles from here. He's an attorney... Already called the waste company, and filed a report. There's been some dumping of furniture close by recently, so the cops were interested. Today, there was a Doggie Igloo in the same place as previous dumps. Appeared overnight. Betting the same people that dumped in my cans. |
I hate stuff like this... People are so lazy and rude.
Meanwhile, Ask Mike about garbage ;) |

I don't get why it is so easy for normally good people to become so irresponsible when it comes to trash. They are one of my pet peeves. I have to keep my dumpsters locked any more. When I left them unlocked I would often find them full of someone else's crap the first time I opened them. Now that they're locked, people just throw their trash in the direction of the dumpster and assume I'll pick up.
When I was remodeling this place I had an uncovered dumpster that was clearly marked "recyclable metal only." The deal was if it was filled only with metal that could be sold I wouldn't have to pay for it. Every frikkin' morning I had to send a guy out to remove the trash and garbage that had been thrown in it. |
There was a pickup truck with a few guys that would come and dump a bed full of garbage in my friend's marina's dumpster every week or so. It looked like they were running a junk removal business, and were dumping the stuff in unlocked dumpsters around town rather than paying the $40 or whatever to take it to the waste transfer station.

Was there a saguaro cactus lying there?

They just don't care |
I see gardening trucks dumping stuff along a local canyon road all the time. Load their POS pickup truck from the well-to-do neighborhood, then dump it illegally on the way back to the hood. I've stopped to take pics and threatened to turn them in, only to be flipped off and insulted in spanish. Guess they feel more at home.
