Regarding replacement batteries - I've had my iPhone4 for two years now, and still get 2 days out of a single charge. I do micro manage the apps to minimize power consumption, but do I really need the pandora app to know where I am? (Location services enabled use the GPS chip which drains the battery very quickly)

I'm done with Iphone for a while. My job at Boeing is "cloud architecture" and Apple is not in the mix.

I carry the Galaxy S4 and a prototype Windows 8.1 tablet that far exceed the usability of my Iphone and Ipad.

I ask because the 5 is stupid fast compared to the 4.

No joke I get 30x's faster speeds.

For the conference calling if the host, initiator drops out then of course so does everyone else.

To separate a participant they simply need to hang up and everyone else is still on the line.

I do it every day with no issues.

Verizon with LTE. If it's faster, it's not much faster. Granted I'm not downloading movies, but normal surfing is about the same.

Sending anything with an attachment is a royal PITA. Can sometimes take hours. Apparently Apple is aware...or that's what Verizon tells me.

You are waaaay wrong about conference calling. I'm on a call. Decide to add in a third person. It goes to voice-mail. No way to disconnect without dropping the whole enchilada. No way. Ridiculous in this day and age. My BB from 5 years ago did it fine. Go figure.

Odd. I've never had a problem either adding a third person nor returning to the call if that person isn't available.

First off I never add another party to a call unless they are aware they are going to be on it.

If it's unplanned/spur of the moment I text them before calling to a) see if they are available b) let them know it will be a conference call with others on it.

That's just good manners.

What you are experiencing is CDMA carrier specific. Verizon is a CDMA carrier.

You don't have those issues with GSM carriers like ATT or T-Mobile

He's on Verizon.
