I've seen these but it seems like hardly any CBRs are plain. They've got flames, or birds, or flaming birds, or anime designs. The bike's got nice lines and you almost never get to see them, which is why I was leaning towards a deep, clear single primary color. The yellow would be deeper than the Dakar-type I posted - more like Speed Yellow or Giallo. The red would be like Ducati or Guards.

Sounds like you want to paint a new(ish) bike? Why not a wrap. Saves the originality of the bike and you can change it often if you like without too much trouble.

No, I bought an aftermarket fairing kit that will be painted - the original panels will be saved to return the bike to stock.
