I don't think it's safe to shock a wet dog, is it?

If it's just a hot tub, dump the water and start over.....

If it's the pool, we used to have to do that with the kiddies at the swim club we owned. Double shock, kick everyone out....

Reminds me when my infants were taking swimming lessons. Every now and then a floater would boob to the surface......everyone out of the pool!

Sorry to hear Jim - I personally know 2 people with geriatric dogs where the same happened. I had a close call with a pup once. A normal aged dog at home will know the way out, but an old one or a pup - different story. I have also heard that the tarps will do dogs in, when they get stuck underneath and can't come out.

And what do you do when YOU pee in the Hot Tub rather than get out?

My Airedal Misty would get out of the pool and pee....then come right back in..which is more civilized than some of the children mentioned in this Thread.

You guys have me laughing like a tickled school girl!

M.D....My two do something quite strange like your dog did. They will swim in a pool for hours and hours, get out to P or P but when theyre in the ocean...all bets are off! I have no idea what the difference is but they just let er rip!
