"Tabs" should change his name to...
Because he's not here as much as he used to be, maybe something like "Sporadic Nymph" ;)

Me too. Tabs is more of a bare knuckle fighter and loves it. |
I like "blabs" personally. I like reading his stuff to be honest even though they can be categorized as such:
45% - Self-promotional, self-serving pontifications (e.g. "I predicted the sunrise! Me, me me! I'm brilliant - everyone else should acknowledge this and tremble in the presence of my great, sage-like intellect!" 45% - "The End is Nigh" postings. I particularly like the scholarly veneer and superficially intellectually-snobbish pretentiousness slapped on top of fatalistic predictions about the markets, the economy, the free world and the fate of all humanity. It's amusing. He would do really well selling short/put positions as a broker I think. Or maybe the makers of Prozac should hire him - after reading this stuff their sales would go through the roof. 10% - Other stuff - these are the posts of legend. Posts about Mother, pushing people down stairs, rants about how screwed up California is (which it truly is), living in a trailer park in Vegas, buffet raids, etc. They're well-written and extremely entertaining and usually contain more than just a nugget of truth to them. These are typically worth having to hold one's nose and weed through 5,000 other garbage PARF posts to get to. They're awesome. It's what I hope for whenever I see something posted by him. |

I have found that I like those yester year American GUNBOAT shoes that my Dad used to wear. To that I would include English, French and Italian shoes...Florshiem, French Shriner, Johnson & Murphy, Cole & Haan, Edmond Allen, Churchs, and a few other more non descript brands... It is all quality that ya just don't see anymore unless you can pop at least $350 to $1500 for a pair of shoes... So ya might say I am in a new learning curve.. |
