First through the door in many tactical operations. Several shootings, once was by a sniper who I was never able to identify, baby died in my arms, was awarded a Medal of Valor, went to the house of a validated Mexican Mafia Member and reminded him who the neighborhood belonged to, drive through the projects in South Central, get out of the car and walk it so the gangsters know what's up, offered to "spar" one in a legit boxing match because he kept talking bs, rappelled from helos, pursuits, foot pursuits, led several hundred men and women in barricaded suspect operations. Saved several people's lives with CPR. A thug wanted to get out of his gang and change his lifestyle, so I took him clothes shopping and bought him $500 of clothing out of my own pocket, train boxing, kickboxing, and MMA to youth, after arresting a gangster for possessing a gun a week before Thanksgiving, I bought and delivered and entire Thanksgiving dinner to his family [He still thanks me to this day]. If you want crazy, I have stories!
If you want a close depiction of working South Central LA, watch "End of Watch." It is as close as it gets. Nothing big though, just another day at the work, David
