Goodbye, Darth Vader. Hello, Yellow Terror.

Why? I don't know.

Bye Bye 1996 Daytona 900,

Hello, 1995 Daytona 900 Super III.

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1375561242.jpg

Much lower mileage, much lower production numbers, much bigger brakes, 15 more horsepower. And it's YELLOW!

Neither of these bikes really answer a question anyone ever asked, but they're lots of fun.

Happy riding. Be careful!

I like :-)

rouxroux 08-03-2013 04:43 PM

but...but....it's not jet fokkin' black!

GWN7 08-03-2013 07:39 PM

Yellow bikes are faster

nynor 08-03-2013 09:25 PM

i want.

Bill Douglas 08-03-2013 09:33 PM

Come on, tell the truth, you painted it?

Gogar 08-04-2013 05:37 AM

To be honest it's a little dirty but I'll bust out the armor-all today and get the tires nice and car-show clean, right before I take a rippin fast run up the canyon. Should be no prob.

Mmmmmmmm, Triumph. Looks delicious!

Moses 08-04-2013 04:53 PM

Sweet!!!!!!

Nice upgrade. You needed to buy the different color - nobody would have noticed otherwise.

Also, FWIW, the paint is better visible in traffic.

To be honest,

Today on the Super III was great in comparison to the Daytona 900. Subtle, but great. Rolling on from 5-9K is much much different.

And there's only a few hundred of them- ever!! and we'll be seeing 3 of them tomorrow!!!! Fun.

Why all this "to be honest" stuff? You don't need that. We always assumed you were honest. :D

Great looking bike... and I agree about the higher visibility... there can never be too much of that. Paint your helmet fluorescent orange if you haven't already.

Hey, how come there's no chick seat?

Aren't they supposed to sit on the couch?

Awesome bike swap!

Gogar 08-05-2013 07:01 AM

Well, to be honest I never noticed that I type 'to be honest' so much. Guess I'll have to work on it!

Make sure you don't trade it for "actually." ;)

I'm sure you've run into people who use it to start almost every sentence or phrase. Ugh.

I thought Armor All was verboten on motorcycle wheels, as it reduces traction.

What? Oh No! :D

Gogar 08-06-2013 08:23 AM

Here's 3 of the 187 Triumph Super IIIs that came to the USA from 1994-1996.

Mine is the one with the jet fokkin black armor-all tires.

Jeremy, this is why you are supposed to use green when joking. SmileWavy

I enjoy the horrified responses too much.

Tobra 08-06-2013 10:26 PM

Should have kept the black one too. Groovy yellow paint on the new one

dienstuhr 08-08-2013 07:09 AM

Nice bike, looks like the PO cranked down the clip-ons to a rakish non-stock angle. Comfortable?

Cheers

Yes, very perceptive. those are aftermarket but I have the stock stuff as well. As weird as it looks it's actually quite a bit more comfortable than the black one was.

Jeff Higgins 08-25-2013 01:06 PM

Oh man, I missed another "got a cool new bike" thread. Between HardDrive's 900 SS and your bytchin' new Daytona, I've missed all the cool stuff. Very, very cool score, Gogar. One of my all-time favorite Triumphs. Talk about tough decisions, too - Super Sport of Daytona? Hmmm... You've made things awfully hard on yourself. ;)
