Guess the hood...

Latest project. Hood is made of aluminum. The car is complete...this is the only part of the car that is tweaked. Everything else is solid and straight....

oh, and the hoodpins in the corners came from the factory that way...

scottmandue 08-08-2013 12:12 PM

I'm guessing Hermosa beach... maybe Venice...

Embraer 08-08-2013 12:13 PM

Granada Hills, haha

TRE Cup 08-08-2013 12:20 PM

I had one...was my guess, too...but w/o pins.
Also, the hood on mine had medallions centered on either side of the hood edge.

mossguy 08-08-2013 12:50 PM

Austin Healey.

Embraer 08-08-2013 01:28 PM

Yellowperil is closest... :)

Used my google-foo for Ferrari hoods and couldn't find one like that

stuttgart46 08-08-2013 01:54 PM

TRE Cup 08-08-2013 02:08 PM

herr_oberst 08-08-2013 02:45 PM

Cheetah!

Joe Bob 08-08-2013 02:50 PM

Healy is my guess as well.....106 model to be more specific.

Embraer 08-08-2013 03:20 PM

Italian and coach-built by Pininfarina....

Sarc 08-08-2013 04:10 PM

Lancia Flaminia...

Rick V 08-08-2013 04:14 PM

Sarc, those don't have deck pins and Mike's hood it too squared off.
This is driving me insane

Embraer 08-08-2013 04:35 PM

Sarc got it! I found the original owner of this car, and found the history of it. He ordered it from the factory with the hood pins. When I get home from work, I'll post a picture of the car I took the day I trailered it home. Story to follow...

[s] Take a hammer to the hinge to make it fit. [/s]

Sarc might not have gotten it by the lines of the hood... maybe he remembers when you told us a week or so ago that you had scored the Flaminia.
