1951 Ford

She is just spending 3 nights at the cave. Off to Australia. Not really into resto's but this car is sweet. Sold at auction for 23K, great deal. You could not paint this truck for that

This car has promise, but some bits are a little awkward. Love the rear fenders , the color, the small backlight; I'd rethink the tonneau, or just remove it. The back bumper off a Caprice? Ouch!

It's actually a 5 mph rear bumper off a '73 or '74 Chevelle. Weird choice.

Beautiful work on that truck, but early UTEs all look a little funny to me. The car-like cab mixed with early 50s truck styling just don't work together. They always keep the bed sides too high too. The concept works better with US Rancheros and El Caminos.

Reminds me of my Gandma's car. A 51 Ford coupe with a flathead and a three on the tree. I used to giggle at the gurgle of that V8 and the whine of the gears put me to sleeps on short trips late at night only to be awakened from slumber when Grandma chirped the tires going into second. For some reason, I wanted Dad to by a new 50's pick up truck, but he bought a 56 VW instead and look what that did to me!

Interesting.........

Nice job overall. The only thing that seems to not work for me is the rear fender treatment. I think it would look better smooth, maybe with fender skirts. Would like to see a full rear view before deciding on the rear bumper. Wish it had a Ford engine though. A hopped up flathead would be ideal! Don't like GM engines in a Ford chassis. That is just about as classy as putting a Ford engine in a Corvette!
