P90x ?
Have any of you guys or gals used P90x? I'd like to get into better shape and just don't like going to the gym. Pro's con's that kinda stuff.
Thanks Tom

P90's are hard to come by, as they're Class III and not transferable. But I have played a bit with a PS90.

P90X is good if you don't mind working out in front of a TV. If you follow the routine, it WILL kick your ass, and you will lose weight and get back in shape.

Agree it's an excellent program, but the key is following it to a T, be consistent, and it will work. I had to turn the sound down, I got tired of Tony's "encouraging" words.

It is an excellent program. I have used it in the past, and keep in mind that as a beginner you will probably not be able to finish the routines. Just do as much as you can until you are too tired, and continue to do the cycles until you can complete the routines.

As the others have said it's a great program. Just be careful when starting out. Some of the routines sneak up on you. I made the mistake of doing the chest arms program and Ab-ripper in one day the first time. The whole thing. I felt fine when finished. The next morning I couldn't get out of bed or move my arms. I was paralyzed by pain for two days and couldn't brush my teeth for a week. I shelved the whole program for a year after that.
A few months back I started mixing P90X in with my triathlon training program which is swimming, biking and running. I started slow this time. It's been great. Good luck with your conditioning. ![]() |
