MP3 question..
If you have a thumb drive with music on it , why do the songs play in different order in different devices? For example, the radio in my Jeep plays certain songs in one order . The unit in my truck plays them totally different.
Just curious.. |
One or both devices set to Random Shuffle.

I don't do MP3s, etc. but do both players always play them in the same sequence (though in different order)? Following up on SM's thought...there is nothing "random" about "random" when it comes to programming devices :).

Either one or both are set to random
Or one sorts based on ID3 tag info and the other based on either different ID3 tag info or filename |
Some head units such as my Pioneer x950bh unit play in date order, or the date the file was written to disc. Some play by ASCII value of the name so you have to check with the maker.

Neither one is set to random. Its only like 6 songs out of 70, that play in different order.
I really dont care, was just wondering why. I think John R, and id10t hit it. |
