31-year-old Summer Michelle Hansen, a special education teacher in a southern California high school, is accused of having sex with multiple students.
She is charged with 16 felony sex crimes, as she allegedly had intercourse or oral sex with five underage boys.
Yes, five…
If convicted, Hansen could be jailed for up to 13 years.
And making matters worse, most of the sex crimes happened right on the Centennial High School grounds. A press release from the District Attorney’s office read, “The crimes are alleged to have taken place from May 2012 through May 2013, and took place in her classroom, in a utility room at the school, in her vehicle while parked near one victim’s home, and at another victim’s home.”
The special ed teacher even told one of the students she would have sex with him as a “prize” if he did well in a school baseball game.
Good grief. What is wrong with people?
Still, Hansen insists that she did not do any of this. Her lawyer, David Cohn, said, “She’s adamant that she’s done nothing wrong.”

How can you only face 13 years for 16 felonies? Doesn't it have to be at least 16 years (and likely far more)? If any male teacher were found guilty of the same, he'd die of old age in prison.

School is supposed to be preparing kids for the real world. Does women using sex as a reward not happen out there? Winning athletes don't get offered sex? City employees don't abuse their power? Sounds to me like she covered all the basics...
