for some reason, i thought he would be in an RSR, but hes in a prototype. Still, it was a good show. I set my dvr to record the next 3.

I believe he and Patrick Long were co-drivers of an RSR at a recent race.
May be why you thought that.

I think Steve McQueen's line was more scripted, Racing is living, everything else is just waiting."

The PD show is very good and the first 5 minutes define it.

I watched the show last night but then realized it was another 'drama' series of rushed deadlines and terrible what-ifs and uh-ohs. Good luck Patrick but I'll watch US Open tennis instead.

If I was his sponsor (the solar power people) I wouldn't have been too thrilled with him and the way he "talked up" the company in front of the crowd. The industry may be experiencing a downturn but they're still supporting his team. He's an actor - act appreciative!

That was awkward. When he was introduced the audience reacted as if they were being introduced to a bum off the street. He bombed and he knew it. Some actors need to do their work in a studio with cameras and retakes. But the audience was as much to blame.

If I was his sponsor, I wouldn't have been too thrilled the way they received him.

He said as he left, "I'm gonna get drunk."

They probably won't be back together next year.

What to like about a rich, handsome, actor getting to do what he wants with racing. Next thing your going to tell me his wife is beautiful and his 5 kids all are special. For this reason alone, I'm not watching it.

Ok, I'm jealous and I admit it.

Nice trip down memory with lots of vintage and current footage at Lime Rock with Sam Posey and one P L Newman, as well as commentary by Skip Barber, Dr. Don Panoz, and Tommy Kendall.
Much of it was a homage to Paul Newman.
I saw his three bare-black body Lolas at Sebring in Feb and wondered who they belonged to.
