web/cloud help needed

I've got a Mac at work, now running OS 10.7.5

An iPad mini

iPhone 4 (6.1.3)

Macbook Pro running OS 10.7.5

I have a Word document with log-in and password info for about 50 sites, some are financial sites, so I want this info kept secure (encrypted).

I want to share that document (or some document with that info) between all the devices and when I update it on one device, have the update synched to all the others.
This completely befuddles me. What is my best option for accomplishing this?
Thanks

iCloud is encrypted, well everything except email and notes.

Unless it is in your control the possibilities of giving access to someone else will always be there.

You could send your self email attachments, or just save a draft of a message in a webmail system like gmail, etc.

I've got tons of logins, but I use a pattern dependign on how secure I want something. Weak or strong password with the site or function name attached to it - ie my forum password here may be secr3tpelicanparts and at slashdot it would be s3cretslashdot and fark would be s3cretfark

The bank stuff, my root passwords for my servers, etc. look something like d779b63c48999c5128!root@mylinode

So I don't remember passwords - I remember usernames (limited set), security levels and base password for the security level, and the site or function

The "Mac" world is alien to me, but what you are talking about is a theoretical issue with all platforms. Ideally, you want "one" central file that the other devices have access to. Having "duplicates" that are dispersed (and updated?) remotely is like a Pandora's box...somebody is eventually gonna get "out of sync" or lose updates unless adequate precautions and procedures are implemented....KISS!!! (Keep It Simple Stup...Sir :)) imo...

Except *you* aren't the one in control of the encryption key or encryption process.

Very true.

This is a very bad idea. Look for a password app....

We use them for everything but financial data which we do not keep anywhere. This password is the only one I memorize and is always different than any other password online.

Need help remembering? Use a mnemonic. T0WAMFN901 is There once was a man from Nantucket..... Use "Limerick Stuttgart" as your hint. Something like that.

try Dropbox - keeps a file in a central location or synchs all devices when the file is changed...works great.

With no easy solutions from you guys I had to research this one on my own.
I solved the problem with an app called Boxcryptor. I'm using the free version, but they have an upgrade that will encrypt the file names as well as the contents. It works in conjunction with Google Drive and Dropbox type products. You just drop the file to be encrypted into Boxcryptor and it encrypts it and sends it to your cloud storage. You can view it on any computer, smart phone, or tablet that supports the app. Just select the encrypted files folder, enter your password, and it unencrypts and opens the document.

Excellent Pat! Me, I just remember stuff :)

Like the serial number of the Schwinn bicycle I had 45 years ago...
