Endgame: Avengers

Saw a premier last night.

3 hrs.

Endless rabbit holes that go no where.
Was this written by a woman?

Interesting, the couple of things that I've read from critics love it.

Too soon.

Give everyone a chance to see.

Yeah I know, don't click, but subject does not indicate potential spoilers so could be just a generic thread like "Who is going and when?"

Hemsworth is REALLY good at the funny stuff. I can only assume that's what there you're referencing.

Practical recommendations spoiler free:

Saw it too.. Man that was long and possibly should have been split into 2 movies. My kids were yawning 10 min into it - takes a while to get to the stuff kids like (superheroes) - so IMO kids <8 should probably stay home (or at least not drink for 4 hours before ;-)

If you need to take a leak or 2, you can do so with the early ant-man catching up stuff (30 min in), or when hulk is eating at the diner (maybe an hour in?). Safe spots for a 3 minute pee... After that you are boned, it's intense...

My opinion spoiler free: It's "alright". Not GREAT. I liked that it closes the story arc (not telling how) and that is probably the last superhero movie I ever need to watch. It felt a bit disjointed, but I suppose given the story arc they didn't have much choice.

Thor - thank goodness - is funny as hell again. Otherwise it's a pretty bleak movie and there are plot holes all over, as ever when you deal with *SPOILER*... ;-) Jeez that is a humongous cast too !!! Must have cost a pretty penny !

Needed more superheroes and a little more run time. I wouldn't have survived without the funny stuff. Movie started officially at 9:30 (more like 9:50 after all the previews) and I was on the road by 12:30. Ouch. Good for what it was, but I'm done with that stuff. A single hero like Ironman or Wonder Woman, okay. All of them? No thanks.

Really disappointing flick.

Shows what’s wrong with society today

Everyone cheering a bunch of jocks and rich kids who bully the husky smart kid when all he wants to do is save humanity.

I thought it was surprisingly entertaining. I am pretty sure though that we are not the target audience. I'm not buying that Thanos is the good guy, but in Russia they have a ''Star Wars'' series where the Empire is the good guys, so anything is possible.

I don't think I'd take it well if you came into my country to save me, and killed my family as a favor, so the rest of the movie just follows from that, and doesn't have to be too deep.

Does anyone think Banner/Hulk with glasses looks like Howie Long?

Peter, that was pretty neato, hit the glove again, it snaps again, and everything comes back

HA! I though the same thing.

Wifey and I enjoyed it in the end...But WAY too long. Agree with previous posters. Without the comic relief, I'd have never made the 3 hours. Thor...LOL

Was Brie Larson as insufferable as she seems to be?

Well, I thought it was better than Ragnarock which is easily the worst movie in the MCU, Howard the Duck being the worst Marvel movie ever.

That said, I think they hired more mature 12 year olds to write this one. I am not the target audience, but my 10 and 17 year old kids though parts were pretty hokey. It did have a few chuckles and parts were entertaining enough. I think there was a lot of "Hey, we can do CGI pretty well now, let see how much we can use and write the story around it. Or it was 12 year olds.

I wonder if it would have been better with Joss in charge again.

I'm going to blame Matthew Schmidt who edited this film. He also edited Cival War which I could never get through.

I blame Disney. They have a way of taking gold and turning it to crap.
