American Family Insurance any good ?

I didn't want to butt in on another post so started my own. I currently have Allstate insurance for two daily drivers, the home and a motorcycle. So far no complaints had to make one claim went smooth with no problems. I have two Porsche's and they are currently on agreed value policies with Grundy. Again no issues but have never had to make a claim. When I moved to Georgia one of the companies I contacted for a quote was American Family, when I made the decision to go with Allstate I assumed bigger company is better but that may not be the case. I have stayed in touch with the AF agent and he recently called and said let me give you a quote. The daily driver is competitive but the P car quote is a little bit less than Grundy. I specifically asked the agent to quote agreed value at the same dollar amount as Grundy. I haven't got the quote back on the home yet. So assuming we are comparing apples to apples on the P cars does anyone have experience with American Family insurance ? I need to drill down into the details before pulling the trigger if I change at all but if the AF policy allows me to drive the P cars a little more than the Grundy policy does that is attractive to me.

Had American Family for years then they started jacking up the rates. I think any insurance company is as good as the agent you have. I left them 1 because of the constant rate increases and 2 because they used to let me drop the insurance on the 911 to just liability because the agent told me the homeowners would cover anything that happened to the car when in storage. The agent then reversed herself (basically got caught in a lie) and would not let me do it again and then they questioned why I wanted full coverage on both the 911 and the Blazer and the underwriter refused to issue full coverage policies on both citing they were too old and not worth it (they wanted us to go with more expensive vintage car insurance). So it is what it is there is good and bad in all of them we went to Gieco and then had a storm right away that blew a tree over on the house and the agent sucked on that and refused to let me put OEM parts back on the Trailblazer which took twice the time in the shop because the first one was a terrible fit and the second one was so flimsy that a pecan falling out of the tree put a dent in it.

Am Fam and Allstate are indistinguishable as companies. Pretty much any of the big, mainline companies are the same. Am Fam is more regional because it's based here in the Midwest, but dealing with Am Fam is no different than dealing with State Farm, Allstate, Farmer's, Liberty Mutual, and so forth. Their adjusters move back and forth, their executives move back and forth, and they all use the same consultants.

People will have good and bad experiences with each, based on the individuals they deal with, but as organizations, you can't tell one from the other. Their policies and procedures will be the same.
