Time -> Numbers -> Recognition
When I glance at a digital readout for the time - whether bedside clock, phone, wristwatch, airport screen, clock on a building - some numbers always jump out at me.
These numbers have significance beyond the current time, and they make me do a mini-doubletake and smile in recognition. As an obvious example, 9:11. And 3:57. Are there numbers that jump out at you? |
10:01 - mirror time
6:19 - inverted time 9:19 - semi-mirror time (or palindrome time) |
May be weird, but birthdays of people I know:
1:20 1:29 3:17 7:23 7:26 |
8:51...my first Ducati.
In fact, the very day that it was delivered to the dealer and I rushed over to see it, the local bank clock read 8:51...I was jacked-up |
.357 Magnum, baby!

Not time, but my grandson's due date is 11-12-13

DUDE!!!
What ever is on my mind - 5:02 when I was building my Willys with a BB Chevy engine, 4:27 when I was building my Cobra, and 9:15 when the damn thing wouldn't shift properly! |
There are lots and lots of number combos that jump out at me whether it's time, a date or the 6 digit readout on my RSA key fob. I couldn't even begin to list them here. You can start with most of the Porsche numeric designations.

7:07, 7:27, 7:37, 7:47 . . .

0:79 is of particular import...it has presented itself at random times and always was met with disbelief and amazment followed by a dizzy spell (swirling room spins), a gentle tickle under my left calf, the sound of ringing bells (D minor or maybe G diminished - not sure) and an act of stumbing towards the floor board only to find myself in a heaving mass of hilarium...nothing 14 hours of sleep and a few quarts of milk of magnesia didn't fix.

The clock in my 356 is right twice a day... at 3:56 :)

My bed side phone is analog as well as the clock in my 944 and my Blackberry clock. Much easier to pan looking at the hand position than reading numbers.
I work with numbers all day - nothing jumps out at me. |
