This right here is what it all boils down to.
If Tebow had kept his faith to himself he'd be a successful NFL star right now.

but too many people hate him and want him to fail, no differently than when people hated Jackie Robinson when he started playing major league baseball.

You mean receivers dropped his passes because of his religious views?

When he was a starting NFL QB and took a looser team to the division championship game? Are those the passes you are talking about?

On the contrary, I believe his faith and courage and competitive strength probably motivated his receivers to perform better and catch more passes during those games.
Especially when they kicked the crap out of the highly favored Pittsburgh steelers in the wild card game.

2011 is a really long time ago for the haters, hope this doesn't make the bigoted voices angry:

2011: Broncos started 1 and 4 with Orton at QB.
They sucked. They were in last place. The fans were pissed. The fans demanded Tebow.
The bronco management did not want to let Tebow play because of the controversy. They didn't have the BALLS to stand up to the bigots.
Eventually they didn't have a choice and reluctantly named Tebow as the starting quarterback.
The last place looser Denver broncos won SEVEN OUT OF THEIR NEXT EIGHT GAMES!
They went on to beat the steelers in the wild card game 29 to 23 in a MIRACULOUS overtime comeback.

in fact, there were many miraculous games that season, one of the most memorable and exciting seasons I can remember:

Quote:
Week 7: GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Week (come-from-behind/overtime win)[124]
Week 10: GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Week (touchdown pass from Tim Tebow to Eric Decker)[125]
Week 11: GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Week (come-from-behind win),[126]
Week 12: GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Week (come-from-behind/overtime win)[127]
Week 14: GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Week (come-from-behind/overtime win)[128]
2011 Denver Broncos season - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

So easy to forget the details when you have a selective memory.

Well, that would be silly.

No, receivers judge the religious views of all QBs by examining the spin and wobble of the ball before catching it at all. This is why you don't see the muslim QBs doing well in the NFL.

There are no Muslim QBs. Touching the pigskin is not approved by Allah.

More like they don't want to touch a "Pig-Skin"

Well, as others have stated, his numbers when he was in Denver were good, and I feel Elway didn't want to be over shadowed and I think there is something too what Sammy said. Tebow grew up here, Zach played baseball with him from little league till Tebow went to Nease.

Yep....Tebow needs to go to the Jax Jags for one last try at either QB (or TE)...he'll put an additional 10K people in the stands every game and since the Jags really suck (according to my buds)...if he can't make it there, he's done. He will still "own" the city and still have a long career ahead of him (PR, announcer, front office, etc.). I'm suspecting that he just doesn't have "the hands" for TE however...but I dunno. He's a "class act" all the way...just doesn't have the QB skills necessary at the NFL level...it's just that simple.

They do suck and are still fixing damage that the previous owner and the former GM did to the team.. After the team snubbed him a few times, I don't know how well he would do here, but the fans here would support him and had the Jags taken him when they 1st had the chance, things would be different for the Jags, as the seats would be filled and Tebow does perform well in the stadium. He is a leader, and while some people bring people down, he brings those around him up, and in big games he manages to bring himself & those around him to the next level...

Even by your own loose standards, this is an unbelievably bulschitudinous statement. If he could deliver, no one would care at all how weird he is off the field. This has been proven countless times in professional sports, I can't believe you'd even try that one.

Zach is as close to a son as I have, I was dating his Mother before he was born, and was there to teach him how to ride a bicycle, how to drive, ect. I have off & on dated his mother since the 80s. One of my neighbors was a football coach at one of the competing schools in St. Johns country, actually the the school that where Tebow should have gone too by where he registered his address there. My neighbor told me all about Tebow and what his Mother was doing (shopping for the "Right" program for him to excel with, and at the time, it was Nease) and that this good was going to set all types of records and we would see more of him, and of course he wasn't happy that he couldn't have him for his program. There is no dought that Tebow will bring fans, and like you said, in big numbers, too bad the ex GM of the Jags didn't understand the local community to understand how loyal Gator fans are, win or lose (I remember the Charley Pell days and Galen Hall was coach when I got there) Gator fans still come out to watch & support their favorite players. Even when Fred Taylor didn't have a good game, the fans still supported him, when the Jags screwed him, the fans cut back on going to games..

"bulschitudinous"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
.
Don't believe I've ever heard that one before...let alone seen it spelled.
Would that qualify for a Spelling Bee?
Just hard to imagine there's not a place for him...given his desire, build, and athleticism. Special teams?
Sammy just called out every owner, GM, head coach and most of the rest of the NFL as anti religious.
Strange when at every NFL game there is a group if players from both teams that do group prayer on the 50.
And you never hear a player thank god in post game interviews.
Denis, this is pretty funny.
Sammy please. You could be a devil worshipping cannibal and if you had a good passer rating people would not say boo to you about it and would be buying your jersey like crazy.
He is a fine young man without a doubt. He is not a good passer. If he got with the right team, or they set up the offense to exploit his gifts, he would be doing fine.
So you think he could simply to to TE or H or play teams if he was coached up? What about the guys he would be competing with that are the best in the world at their position? Think you can just master the technique to play a position with a little coaching in camp?
Doesnt make sense.
53 players, that's the roster. If you keep Tebow, who are you giving up? Every year there is a new crop of fast, hungry kids that want that last roster spot.
Maybe a viable backup QB, or an absolute 1st rate goal line "option to run" QB ala Cam Newton in the process. Having watched Cam for a couple of years...TT has similar skills on a short field imo. Just that alone earns him a roster spot on the right team hopefully...
