Anyone AARP Member / Discounts?
 
I am at the 'age' where I have AARP is knocking down my door. I do not see the need to join except for the discounts. Anyone here an active member and know to what end if the actual discounts on auto insurance ?

I'd love to give remarks but they would be dumped to PARF quickly. I abhor the AARP.

I hate them too (politics), but saved a chunk insuring my motorcycles. Not the cars, house, boats, etc. But the bikes were considerably cheaper with an ol' fart membership.

Got no use for them. When I receive their mailings (often), they are torn up and thrown in the trash. There are alternatives to AARP if you want/need their type of services.

I have them for prescription coverage and gap coverage with medicare. Not a big deal, just hope I never have to use the gap coverage.

My X loves to tell me she has received mail from them in my name at her house that I still own, that she lives in. They are like a union, no accountability. :)
