I don't like the idea of my hard earned dollars paying for this scumbag to live comfortably and play the system.
He'd probably have required special accommodations from the general population and could have easily cost $100 grand a year.
A penny saved is a penny earned.

I doubt it saves that much money. The state already spent tons on his defense. The cost to incarcerate a prisoner is usually computed by dividing the cost of the prison construction and maint. by the number of inmates. Those costs don't go down because one offs himself. His cell will be filled tomorrow and the giant prison industry won't skip a beat.

Some prison employee is gonna lose their quarterly bonus for forgetting to remove the big tempting hook mounted in the ceiling of that cell, and for forgetting to clean up the pile of extra rope in the corner.
