Any Arduino geeks here?
I've got a hexapod that I built with an OOPic controller years ago. The company that made the controller is gone, and the compiler is on an ancient PC laptop I have stuffed away somewhere.
I'm going to pick up an Arduino Mega and a Lynxmotion SSC-32 Servo Controller to replace the brains. Any insights on using the compiler on a MacBook? Any favorite forums? |
IIRC the environment is Java so host OS is really not much of an issue.

I don't see why you need that Servo Controller. Arduino can control servos directly: Arduino Playground - MegaServo
You may want a sensor/servo shield (about $12) to break out the servo connections/make wiring easier. |
I'm going with a separate controller because that particular controller has onboard software for running a hexapod. I've read some forum posts that indicated that the Lynxmotion controller saves you time.
