Once I got stopped at a checkpoint and a very pretty blonde lady cop asked me if I'd been drinking. I replied "No I haven't but I'm certainly available fairly much any evening this week." She got the giggles and the man cop with her just grinned thinking "Today's harmless dickhead." I feel sorry for them getting told to stop 1,000 drivers knowing one in 100 is going to intentionally be trouble.

Oh she was really pretty. I hope the job hasn't burnt her out. I left thinking she could take me down to the cells and rough me up anytime.

our local DA got stopped for a DUI last week - he refused the breath test (which is an automatic 90 day license suspension here)

news reporting compared his case to that of a PDX cop also stopped for a DUI who ALSO refused the breath test

I guess the experts think you should refuse the breath test...

Wow a lot of thoughts on this one 1) If you are pulled over in socal you have a 99.1 % chance of getting a ticket (CHP pushes it to 99.9%) you have already offended the officer by your actions that forced him to pull you over. Now there are exceptions 1) you have a leo badge 2) you are military and you make sure the first thing he sees when you open your wallet is your military I.D. 3) you work closely with the air support division , go to the annual chili cook out, buy a couple asd hats , leave one on the dash of each car and when the officer asks you if you work there just explain your connection. 4) Be blonde, reasonably attractive (probably the reason you were pulled over) have a pleasant attitude and a little interested in the officer. BTW these only work if you have a good attitude. None of these work in Escondido.

I got pulled over once and told the cop his headlight was out, that's why I was trying to avoid him tailgating me before the flashers came on. I also warned him not to drive with defective equipment, to get it fixed and have a nice day.

True story.
