I have never even thought about "learning to ride a bike" I got my first bike at age five, got on the sucker without training wheels and caught up to my older brother and his friends...was never an issue. I was taking jumps off the homemade ramp that afternoon! Same thing with skating (ice skating) now I don't even have to tie up my skates if I'm heading out for a skate. My daughter had training wheels on her bike for less than 20 minutes, made me take them off, she has never fallen.
That being said I have no tips for you but wish you the best of luck in getting the hang of it.
I have a feeling Byron skipped the training wheels part of bike riding as well!!!
Now I almost never take my bike out for a ride......I should.

I might have been 4 when I first rode. Wasn't even in kindergarten. Having 4 older brothers I had a desire to keep up. One day when they were in school, I heisted one of their bikes and learned on my own. No one was around, just me and the bike.

Needless to say, I had a cast on my left arm up to the elbow, from a previous accident which was unrelated to cycling.

I was so excited that I ran inside, told my mother, "I can ride a bike", and was instantly in trouble.

My only advice is to lean rather than steer.
