Ocean Isle Beach, NC
Does anyone here have direct knowledge of Ocean Isle Beach in NC?
I've read Trip Adviser reviews and Googled everything I can think of. It seems to be quiet - too quiet. I'm headed that way in the morning to talk with a guy about some business interests, and I want to know if there is a chance in heck that the place can draw in tourists during the summer season. If so, we have time to position our business before then. If not, I need to walk away. I can't really discuss the business itself right now... client confidentiality and all that bs. Most of you know what my business lines are anyway. Our target demographic is young adult to middle age, with adequate disposable income. I'll drive around the area some and see what kind of shops, hotels, etc, exist - but I would appreciate any first hand reports. Thanks.

A business in a seasonal area is always a crap shoot. With tacky Myrtle to the south & more upscale Wilmington to the north, what is that specific area's draw? People need food & entertainment in a vacation area. Anything else is secondary.

Recreational Mechanic

Went there a few years ago for vacation. Beautiful place. Would go back in a heartbeat. Also stayed in adjacent town of Sunset beach which I found to be more quaint and I would rather stay there but both areas very nice.
