They are at just about every road crossing on the Little Miami Bike trail in Southern Ohio.

Just a guess but it may mean your single bike lane is about to cross three lanes of traffic.

State bike route 1 South and state bike route 3 North.

It's a reminder that bicyclists on a public road have 1/3rd the amount of common sense and courtesy while you are operating a motor vehicle.

LOL. I can't top that.

One out of three cyclist or bikers will smash your car window with their helmet if they are in a mob.

First is drive.......as it should be lol

I live about a mile from the route and I don't have a clue. The trail is designated route 1 north of Xenia and route 3 south of Xenia, so it may have something to do with that.

b) answer your question! You're right, I looked on a map of the trail network and the trail is 1 & 3 south of Columbus, then splits into separate 1 and 3 trails north.

Ok, it's in my back yard so I had to look it up. Until 2011 the whole thing was route 1, then because of some land donations and the attending politics, the portion south of Xenia was renamed route 3. The 1/3 signs appear on the part thar was once rt 1 but is now rt 3.
