recommendations on a .45 spoon
I have residence in a State that allows large cap pistols. I sold off all my autos during the divorce.
I've owned Glocks, the Smith Sigma and a few other polymer frames. I want to go to a matte finish alloy/steel in .45. Large capacity for Zombie termination. Para Ordinance from Canada looks decent. Any other suggestions? Anyone have one for purchase (contact me off line)? I am going to sell my Smith Chief S/S .357 and keep my back up AirLite.

You must have big hands.
I might have 20 .45's but none are high cap. Jim

My thought would be 1911, but then, those aren't exactly high-cap.
It's too bad you aren't selling a Smith 357 with 6" barrel in nickel. It'd be sold already. I've been looking for one for a while and have had 2 slip through my hands.

CZ97b or EAA Witness. W/ the witness, you can get cheap caliber conversions from 45 to 10mm, 40sw, 9mm, 38super, or 22lr. I beleive the CZ you can get a 22lr kit, but not the others.

Bought my dad a Sig 220 .45 for his 60th. They're not cheap, but I have purchased 2 Sigs new, and felt they are worth every penny.
If you are looking at a 1911, I would lean towards a Springfield or Kimber. I know lots of folks are down on Kimber, but I swear, their Custom II is just about the most accurate gun I have every shot.

If you want a double stack, Sig or H&K are hard to go wrong with. But don't go shoot a 1911, all of a sudden the double stack high cap stuff won't matter so much. I have a box stock Springfield MilSpec 1911 that is fantastic, and much more accurate than I am.
