How much to ship car - chicago>montana or idaho
Hello,
I bought a running project car in the chicago area. I need to get the car hauled to somewhere in Montana or Idaho. Closer to the canadian border the would be great. Any suggestions ? roughly how much should I expect to pay for this? I am in no hurry 3-6 weeks so was hopping that would get be a lower rate. any reply's appreciated .

I shipped a car from upstate New York to Chicago last fall and it cost around $900. It comes down to mileage. I made contact with several car haulers out there before committing to one. It's an industry chuck full of scum bags.

Not an expert but I think that it also depends on how remote the locations are, ie. going from major city or middle of nowhere, etc.

BJ & The Bear used to charge $1 a mile. Current rates are about $0.50 a kilometer. If you cross the border loaded you can expect 3X-4X the price. You can get a more accurate price quote on UShip.com.
Also costs go up depending on what type of service you want. IE. open trailer, enclosed, partial shipment....

I sent a PM, I might be able to trailer it for you, depending on schedule.
