That's some nice work.

Reminds me of Kiss Alive, 1975/76, hearing this intro a few hundred times on the LP:

I wanna know how many people here tonight like to take a taste of alcohol!
I was talking to somebody backstage earlier that said that you people like to drink vodka and orange juice!
Well, I’ll tell you something, when you’re down in the dumps, and you need something to bring you up, there’s only one thing that’s going to do it the way you want it. What’s that?
I can’t hear you!
Cold gin!

Damn Rick, you listen to music, especially music like that in the first grade? I am such a wuss, it was Puff the Magic Dragon or You Light Up My life for mehttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/suppo...eys/gitaar.gif and that was in the 4th or 5th grade.

I got VH I when it came out and I was in 2nd grade. Got VH II with a Tyco racetrack for Xmas in 3rd grade. I heard Rush's All the World's a stage around that time too - on 8 track in a babysitter's car.

Not too uncommon. I'm 35. Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, VH, Iron Maiden and KISS were like nursery rhymes to me. My dad played all that stuff. He even sang 30 Days in the Hole to me when I was a toddler.

The first two albums I ever bought were VH's 1984 and Michael Jackson's Thriller on vinyl.

How ironic that Thriller's long run at #1 kept VH's 1984 from making it to #1? And EVH, IMHO, helped Thriller get there, as his playing on Beat It made it ok for white teenage boys to listen to MJ. I read a story EVH told where he was in Tower Records in the Sherman Oaks Galleria and Beat It came on the radio. He overheard one kid say to his buddy, "Listen to that guy try to play like EVH." Ed tapped him on the shoulder and said, "That is me."

BTW, I have a photo somewhere of me as Gene Simmon for Halloween around 1976. And I was far from the only kindergartner in the neighborhood who was Gene that year. A lot of folks at my new office carry lunch boxes to work. I'm thinking of rounding up an old Kiss lunchbox and carrying it around.
