Can you buff out a scratch in a windshield?

I have two tiny scratched on the inside of the windshield... on the passengers side and not blocking my view at all, Certainly not worth changing out the windshield.

However it bugs my inner OCD alternate personality.

Any way to fix it or as Paul said "Let it be"?

Prevention is easier than cure. Stop the GF's from entering car with diamond rings!
How else can scratches occur?

Very fine steel wool. 0000 grade.

if it's on the inside of the windshield, don't put pressure on it. It'll crack. Don't ask me how I know...

Yeah, it's nuts how sensitive windshields can be from the inside. Many years ago, I was in the passenger seat of my car while my buddy was driving. A fly was irritating me, so when he landed on the windshield, I lightly "flicked" it...and watched a nice long crack immediately form

That's what happened to me!

Followed by my buddy howling "YOU'RE PAYING FOR IT YOU'RE PAYING FOR IT!!"

I was 16 at the time. Big dollars to a kid.

I live in Arizona. Free glass comes with the insurance ;)

Lower your comprehensive deductible to $50 or $100 today.

Some idiot (me) used a razor blade to scrape some sticky goo from a sticker off.

Tiny and out of my feild of vision... if there is a chance of cracking the windshield better to just ignore it I think.

Thanks for the warning!

That's a acrylic film on the inside of the glass (I think)

I read that somewhere on the internets, so it has to be true.

Cant help with this problem, but for future use, Napa sells plastic razor blades for this purpose. I use them to replace my gate pass for my neighborhood every year.

You might want to clarify what you are suggesting.

Lowering his deductible is fine for the next chip, crack or run, but he files a claim and says the existing crack happened after the deductible was lowered he's committing insurance fraud. -J

I'm suggesting in case the windshield cracks later.

That is what I suspect... and why I wondering if it is repairable...
