Mine is the 1.8... but... wife bought me the car with her inheritance money (and on provision that I sell off the non running 944)

So she picked out a slush box... however seeing as it gets most of it miles running up and down the harbor freeway taking me to and from work it is kind of nice for that.

How about mounting a light bar to the baby teeth and going for something like the Mini posted above has?

When we had the Mini S we did lots of trips to Phoenix and Las Vegas and runs out to the desert. Very handy then for sure. I also used them when someone on a Suburban or similar monster truck would pull in front of me doing 50 in the fast lane and all 6 lights would nearly melt the rear window! They would move over.

I made the mount out of a piece of cro-mo tube and bolted it behind the front bumper, painted with flat black paint.

Nice, I like that idea. I'm not going that route on my MSM, but I could see it on the right car.

Baby teeth? I will have to look, I presume that means there is some way/where to mount inside the grill opening?

I share the pet peeve, but I'm reasonably sure that the cars are not wired to have the fogs be DTRs. I think its the [clueless] driver that does know what the fog light switch is for and turn it to the off position...

Actually I think it is more the people who are clueless on how to aim headlights/fog lights/driving lights.

High quality and properly installed (street) lights should have a cutoff well below any other drivers line of site.

I think what you guys are complaining about are the yahoos who slap a set of high power lamps on the front of their car/truck and pay no attention to where they are pointing.

If you look at the pic of the silver miata, the two metal loops in the mouth are the tow/tiedown hooks, AKA baby teeth. I think you could mount something to them or whatever they are mounted to and it would be quite secure. I suspect you want the opening unobstructed for cooling purposes
