Can't respond to PMs on phone

This is really annoying because I'm away from computer and operating from phone 99% of the time. (iPhone 4S FWIW).

The mobile version of this site works well for basic viewing and posting, but I've never been able to post photos or answer PMs. I can see the PMs fine and get the notifications, etc., but there is no button for reply.

I actually get PMs occasionally that are not telling me to go fk myself and I'd really like to be able to reply. TIA.

Ok, sorry. If I asked before, I forgot.

If I install chrome browser, I lose the Safari that I have and all bookmarks or can I have more than one browser like home computer?

I'm very happy with Safari in general and did not like Chrome on laptop, but I can't remember why.

you can have multiple browsers. I've got 3 on my ipad and they happily coexist. The bookmarks, etc... that you have in Safari will stay there. Any bookmarks that you create in Chrome or whatever other browser you try (Dolphin, Atomic, etc...) will only exist in the browser that you create them in. There may be a way to copy your stuff from one browser to another, but it shouldn't remove anything from the original.

Thanks, Masraum!

Ok, next dumb question: do I use my current browser to find Chrome and install it or the App Store?

Top right of App, three horizontal lines, hit it and scroll down to "Request Desktop Version"

BTW and FWIW you can also use Chrome to upload pics from your iOS device so you don't have to do the PhotoBucket thing anymore.

I don't use the mobile version. Still not working for me. The only two options I have when the message is opened is "edit" or "quote". Neither action takes me anywhere to enter a response. This is the same problem with Safari.

The mobile site is what pops up when you open this site on an iPhone, and maybe a few other devices.

At the very bottom of any page on the regular view, in the Blue bar and on the left hand side there is a drop down where you can switch to the iPhone optimized version.

FYI, if you do that then you need to click Normal Version in the same spot before it will give you the Desktop version again.

That is exactly what I'm experiencing.

You are using the mobile version.

The BBS detects that you are browsing from a mobile device and automagically gives you that version.

It's not an active choice that you make.
