Wood Trailer Deck, Treatment options? Rhino/Linex/Monstaliner

I've got a 7' x 14' landscaping type trailer I use to haul Quads ATV's and Kubotas on.

I HATE slippery wet slimy trailer decks.

I just had the "pleasure" of stripping off a $500 Hot Sprayed on Pickup Truck bedline type product, which didn't bond well to the wood. Micro Steam bubbles formed from the hotness applied to a brand new trailer deck of standard 2x8 pine.

oh well, lasted ~5 years.

So now what to try again for a liner product. This MonstaLiner seems to be a cool sounding product.

Monstaliner do-it-yourself roll-on truck bed liner outperforms Herculiner Bed Liner, Duplicolor and Rustoleum Road Warrior

It's all about the bonding to wood, not metal.......

does the pelican brain trust paint their wooden trailer decks with sand in it for non-skid, or just oil stain? Or?

other roll on bed liners?

I have an 18ft car hauler with a wooden deck. I have kept it stained for the past ten years with whatever I had left over from staining my deck.

My deck is almost 20 years old and I need another few years before we redo the back yard. So I tried this stuff: Restore Concrete & Wood Deck Sealer by Rust Oleum - Essential Hardware

Worked great.

I would, after a through pressure wash, try it on my trailer.

I've used non-skid paint additive with deck paint, but the best method I've found is to paint the
surface that you want to be non skid, then take sharp masonry sand and broadcast it onto the painted surface. When you have a pretty even coat, backroll the surface with a paint roller. It's cheap and easy to redo when an area wears off.

Thanks Dad911, that's a good kit for cheap. I have 100 sq ft to do.

sounds like a great product that comes in 60 colors. I'm thinking a Granite Bolder Gray.

good video here:
