It happened again, III....

Ok,
I got some new skins for the '84, Toyo R1Rs stock sizes, wear rating 140, the "gummi bears", well with the gummis on and warmed up it will drive up the side of a building and sit like a gecko. Driving up Hwy 9 minding my own bidness, when I see a headlight(1) coming up, fast! Can only be 2 options, cop or knee dragger, I am betting knee dragger. Push the skinny pedal down, and start warming up the tires until the mailboxes are gone then......HAMMMER time, Bon Scott is grunting out Gone Shootin' on the stereo, the bypass and Dansk Sport are wailing to match Bon, and the sport is on. Seems the 3.2 is running finely, the gummis are warm and going into every corner and exiting I pull multiple car lengths on the sport bike, he is starting to flail, the '84 isn't even breaking a sweat, for grins I let the late model sport Honda go by, and tuck in behind him. He pulls on the straights, I reel him in in the corners, he finally makes a banzai pass on a back marker car and I back pedal and marvel at just having had lunch, Hondas taste like chicken wings with victory sauce!

Smart to let the guy finally pass and go. Have some fun then wave him on and live to fight another day!

Well,
As it happens, I was on my way to San Jose via Bear Creek Road, (which makes the 'Ring look Bonnyville) to get my medical renewed, when I came up on an Infinity G35, we were on the lower sections with a bunch of flat straights. I do enough going fast in a straight line at work, at home, I back pedal.
Why is every toolbag in a car faster than a Yugo think they should race a Porsche? I held my speed at 5 over and the G35 pulled away, probably a meth runner anyway, who cares right?
I get to the uphill twisties and warm up the gummi bears, oopps, there is the G35, he sees me and hits the gas, I roll in a little gas and stay 10 car lengths back( I want a good view when he grinds the embankments), after about 5 turns he pulls over to let me by, ok time to see if he can hang, nope, Infinity cant hang, wasn't even on boogie.
Well the medical was passed without issue, decided to head over to HWY 9 for a cruise back home. Got past the lower straights without drama, when a BMW Sport Touring bike comes up fast and starts doing the "if you don't pull over I will pass you over the double yellow dance" Luckily the corner section was right there, wicked it up a bit to get some heat into the tires and left him like a bad habit, slowed on the straights and teased him. Too easy with the gummi bears.

Second this. I go up Bear Creek rd once in a while but go a bit faster only when clear. You know...if I'm going to kill myself better not kill anybody else along with me.

But then of course there are events where we can go fast in our cars so I reserve the itch.

Meh, don't listen to the high-waistband types. It's fun to push these cars, and sometimes it's fun to push these cars where other folks can see it.

I'm sure that the haters will be going right down to the local police station to confess every time they've broken a traffic law, and pay the fines as well. What, no? Yeah.

Here is the immaturity that costs lives, I encourage you to go well beyond 55. Just do it at the track and take all your lemming friends with you, and you can all talk about how cool you are after.

Well stated above, grow up, it is obvious you have other inadequacy issues if you have to come on to this tech forum and tell everyone your " awesome exploits" in your Porsche.

Get help.

It seems I am frequently challenged by people in ricers, and BMW's. Something about the Porsche brand that cites inferiority in the other guy. I really have no need or desire to prove myself, or my car. I am not sure if that comes from maturity, or just confidence, perhaps its both.

Have fun out there, enjoy your cars, and be safe.

Oh boy, I KNEW that some goody-goody types would chime in with disdain. Why must they look down on us over their noses while cluck-clucking about out bad behaviour? Why are they so stern regarding safety.

Actually, what the heck are these types doing on a 911 board? I am sure there is a bowling board out there that would be much more their speed.

Other than you godawful taste in music, I see nothing wrong with your actions Click-Click.

Carry on!
