Well, thanks to some of you guys, I have decided to start a two front war.
Just pulled the suspension off the '71 Targa to start some welding, and will now drag the Lotus back into the garage to start tearing into it.
I will start a dedicated thread once I have accomplished something.

Please do! I have never laid a finger on a Lotus but this is one of my very favorite cars. I would love to know about the inner workings.

By the way, when you said small and light weight coupe, you weren't kidding! I think you have gotten one of the smallest and lightest possible.
