What bands played at your high school?

These were a few years before my time but they all played at one time at Staples High in Westport CT:

Sha Na Na
Sly and The Family Stone
Young Bloods
Jon Sebastian
Beau Brummels,
The Animals,
The Yardbirds,
The Doors
Cream,
The Byrds
Taj Mahal
The Remains
Steven Tyler's band, Thee Strangeurs (later the Chain Reaction) opened up the show for the Yardbirds
J Geils
The Young Rascals
Mitch Ryder
The Blues Project
Poco
Peter Frampton
And more... WESTPORT CT MUSIC SCENES - PROFESSIONAL ROCK STARS

I knew all the guys in Incubus. Was very cool to see them make it.

(for the older guys here...)

I also have the honor of getting rock bands banned at my high school. We got a pit going in the center quad. Administrators freaked out, thought a riot was starting. lol.

I was in the high school band (trumpet) and my idol was Maynard Ferguson. In my junior year they played a concert at our school (Southfield-Lathrup High in MI). I was awe struck. Incredible player that I'll cue up occasionally even 40 years later.

Hope you're playing "Chameleon" for the man upstairs! RIP.

None really... but Tom Petty did go to GHS, as well as a member of Sister Hazel.

ZZ top went to my high school during my older brothers time there. They were going to play the prom but the first album started to get hot and they went on the road instead.

It was both good and bad there...graduating with a class of 68 other kids makes nearly every situation in the real world look pretty big! In retrospect, its no wonder the bands sort of stunk...there was one that evolved into something (sort of) but I can't recall who they were/are. oh well.
