When I was a kid, I remember seeing a semi getting stuck under the underpass near our house. he got halfway through, must have been going 60 mph when he hit. They had to remove the wheels, and drag it out, and he hit it so hard that they had to close the bride for months to make structural repairs .

We had a crane take out an old concrete overpass here a few years ago. It was epic.

In the mainline PA area this is a daily occurrence.

Must have been a hell of a honeymoon.

When I get home from work today, I'm going to measure the height of my 5 th wheel camper. I honestly don't know how tall it is. Watching all those roof air conditioners fly off made me realize that could easily be me.

Thoroughly enjoyed that, thanks! Really liked the shaves, especially when all the AC units and stuff got knocked off the roof.

I'm picturing a Penske Rental Facility right down the street.

I'm thinking a sign for Ned's RV Repair on the other side would be funny.

Ha, I was thinking about a similar thing the other day. I used to work in a big wharehouse, this was back in the late 70's where there where less rules about everything. For some reason we used to give the truck drivers hell teasing them, calling them wankers, poofters etc. It's just what we did. One of the tricks some guys used to do was sneak around to the other side of the cab, climb in and pull the lever up that operated tipping on the truck. There was a guy we used to give hell too for some reason and someone flipped the lever. He left almost in tears not noticing the back of the truck was lifting up as he drove off down the road. He hit a railway overbridge and it pulled the tray right off the back of the truck and the dents are still in the bridge to this day.

Not funny but I was laughing pretty hard by the end of that video.

Awful high percentage of rental trucks

Check out the pedestrian in the sequence starting at 2:49. Walking under the trestle as a trailer gets its AC units scraped off and they come crashing to the street. Pedestrian doesn't even look over! Must be a very common occurrence.

when I was in jr high, the highway dept put a large I beam at the foot of the bridge the exact height of the bridge truss. I told my friends that it wasn't right. sitting there eating lunch we watched the first semi pass get jammed halfway the trailer. couple days later they put the beam right back up and another truck jammed. seems that if an eight grader just looking at the installation could figure out a truck going up the bridge would raise the height of the trailer as it passed under the beam, people with engineering degrees could have figured it out on paper first. and at least by the second jammed truck realize it wasn't going to work. after several more jammed trucks it was later taken down and backed away from the bridge. problem solved

I bought and repaired a good sized sailboat(Schock 34 perf cruiser) which had been traded in. While the dealer was moving it from the shore to their marina the trucker caught the mast on a bridge(the mast was down and tied to the railings.) There were 145 holes in the top of the boat from screws pulled out to 6x6 holes where the railings pulled out complete with their backing plates. Steering column broken, mast shortened by about a foot. Took about a month and 10k (35 k insurance claim paid to the dealer )to fix but the damage was extensive.
The standard height for a bridge on an interstate is something like 13 ft. Off highway you need to keep an eye peeled for a low bridge if you are anywhere near max height.
