Wickenburg! That's worse than going to hell isn't it? ;)

McLovin 11-26-2013 12:23 PM

Glad to hear it! Carry on.

GWN7 11-26-2013 12:36 PM

Glad you checked in. The woman who answered the phone sounded none to happy with me asking if ****** was there. She was even more unhappy when I called back to make sure I hadn't misdialed. :)

jyl 11-26-2013 01:10 PM

Glad you got checked out. Have a happy T'giving.

bivenator 11-26-2013 01:18 PM

The enzymes? Troponin I would assume. You are fortunate to enjoy Thanksgiving with the family rather than nurse Ratchet. Take care.

jyl 11-26-2013 03:08 PM

CPK isoenzymes?

Heel n Toe 11-26-2013 03:46 PM

Sammy, whatchoo doin' scammin' us like dat you ol' fart? Don't do dat no more, ya hear?

Glad to hear you're doin' okay at the moment. Keep us updated when you can.

And you know what's next, doncha?

Forget all that "EXIT ONLY" stuff you always say...

C o l o n o s c o p y.

That's right, you're gonna have to man up. You've probably got several stalactites and stalagmites in there and they need to come out before they turn bad.

I frequently worry about the impressions of folk who present with xyz and leave with a colonoscopy appointment. I mean, I get how important a visit to the butt hut is, yet I still imagine these people are wondering "how did I get here?"

If you're comfortable doing so, please let us know what was happening and enjoy your turkey day!

J P Stein 11-26-2013 04:26 PM

Thanks for checkin' in Sammy. Us old farts worry about not so olds farts.SmileWavy

MRM 11-26-2013 04:33 PM

Glad you're still with us, Sammy. You had me pretty worried.

flatbutt 11-26-2013 05:43 PM

And that's a fact. Glad all is well, Sammy.

I have just started another journey into Ontario's medical system. A 1 cm kidney stone has been a bit of a bother lately. :(

You owe me/us a beer, Sammy.
Same is true.

Don't forget.

Just a bit? That won't pass quietly.

Sidney, you aren't exempt from the getting old rule. ;)

Do unto others as you would have them do to you...Although I know you already do.

Love this forum. We stick together.

Glad to hear you are OK Sammy. Hugs and take care of yourself.

Jim Richards 11-27-2013 03:11 AM

Forget Sammy! I want to know how that guy he knows is doing! :p

GH85Carrera 11-27-2013 03:42 AM

Yea we were all surprised to find out that he had a friend. ;)

berettafan 11-27-2013 04:51 AM

Sammy I hope you dug into the enzymes issue. It's not comforting to see your post that implies you just shrugged it off or didn't take the time to understand what it meant.

You need to be your own advocate in the health system these days. Nobody is looking out for you but YOU.

dipso 11-27-2013 06:06 AM

Pretending to be Clint Eastwood in Gran Torino, 24/7 in a PARF forum, would wear anybody out.

berettafan 11-27-2013 06:14 AM

You're a class act dipso.

Hey Sammy did your docs do an EKG?

BRPORSCHE 11-27-2013 06:43 AM

Sammy,

Get that taken care of. I couldn't even imagine being on PPOT with you gone. We would be overrun by *******s and poopie heads in a matter of days.

Get well soon ya cranky ole bastard.

craigster59 11-27-2013 08:06 AM

Glad all is O.K. Sammy. Enjoy your Thanksgiving dinner, changes are coming soon for sure. You've worked hard and saved, make sure you're around to enjoy the spoils.

If the doc tells you that you're going to have to give up bacon, I'd get a second opinion.

dewolf 11-27-2013 12:59 PM

Try this diet. It works. My BP used to be 170-180/ 80-90 now it rarely gets over 140/70-80. Most times it sits around 120-130/65-75. Lost some pounds to boot.

No worries, I am an expert on renal colic. 10mg of Oxycontin + 10mg of Buscopan. And get horizontal & on heat or in a hot bath asap. 4 weeks ago, I had an incident on the road in front of a new customer in Naples, Florida & my drugs were 1 1/2 hrs away in Lauderdale. Luckily, an employee at the store just happened to have some Percocet on hand. I have had near-daily pain for 8 weeks so I have an upcoming appointment with a Lithotripsy machine - my 3rd over the last 15 years.

Me too. I had lithotripsy on the 12th and I'm still peeing out stones! I was in the ER last Friday night because it was so sore. I wasn't sure if it was a stone because of the lithotripsy, but that's what it was. Spent the month of September in pain because of a 7mm stone on the right side and the first ER urologist said come back in a week as it should pass. It didn't and they had to go in and remove the stone and I had to live with a stent for a few days. Come back in October and the new uro said I have more stones and what I want to do. I said take them out! lol

imcarthur 11-29-2013 03:55 AM

I can certainly sympathize, Bryan. Note that i changed the Buscopan to 10mg. My 1st urologist years ago was some big cheese in stones & he added that drug to my recipe to stop kidney spasming which can prolong the event.

With Ontario's regional view of treatment, there is only one litho machine local now. My 'consultation' app't is not for another 2 months but I am working to have it moved forward.

berettafan 11-29-2013 12:58 PM

What size stones are you guys talking to create this pain?

imcarthur 11-29-2013 01:06 PM

Mine is over 1 cm (0.4 in) in all dimensions. Impossible to pass without being broken up first. I have never knowingly passed a stone without electronic blasting.

They don't have to be big to cause pain. I've had some small ones that crank up the pain when they start moving around. You'd be shocked something so small could cause such pain! Btw, Ive never had Buscopan.

Back on topic. I hope Sammy is doing better and getting the proper medical care.
