appliance service in Marietta GA. ? LG needed

Our three year old LG front loader washing machine started leaking the other day. I did the usual inspection of the three year old stainless steel hot/cold lines no indication of leaks. Then inspected the discharge hose no indication of leaks. Well I figure that's about all I'm doing after all it has a 10 year warranty.........right ? So we called the 800 number for LG service, explained the situation and they said give them a day or two to find a authorized service center. They called today and said they were having a hard time finding anyone.........you're kidding right I'm 15 minutes north of Atlanta !!! They said give them one more day but if they can't find anyone WE have to find someone..........WTF ????? The appliance was purchased at Home Depot if that matters but I think this is a manufacturers problem. The " stain " left on the vinyl floor is white in color which leads me to believe it was soapy water, so could be as simple as a hose clamp inside the unit or as bad as a cracked pump housing. Looking for suggestions on what to do ? I really don't want to become an appliance repair person..........I hate appliances ! The discharge hose on the back of the unit is not a simple hose slipped over a nipple.....oh no....this damn thing disappears into the washer. And with all the electronics in this washing computer I have no desire to rip it apart. So what would you do ? Anyone know of a reputable appliance repair center in the Atlanta/Marietta area ?

LG basically gave up on us saying no one in Atlanta does warranty service . So I called a local service company that stated they are trained to service LG products but are not authorized to do warranty work. Guy came out this morning and took the top and rear panels off. No evidence of water/leak . So he turned the washer on and we watched, it took about ten minutes but then I spotted some water. Turns out the cold water inlet valve inside the washer is leaking. Some kind of solenoid control valve that costs $140.00 !!! Bastards And to top it off they service company didn't stock it has to be ordered. Slight chance local big appliance warehouse has the part so we're hoping for the best. Service guy was very nice and told me how to replace it if I wanted to. But if he installs it's covered for one year so what the hey why not. The service guy said they don't do warranty work for LG, Maytag, GE and a few other major players because they don't pay squat. He said only Bosch and some other brand I'd never heard of pay decent warranty wages. Oh well it is what it is.

I used to buy appliances from the big box store. Ran into the same problems. Now I buy from the local appliance store that has been in business for decades. Prices aren't that much more and they service everything they sell.

A co-worker was just lamenting about his LG fridge that has had about 4 failures in the past year. This last year he also has had problems getting the fridge serviced -he lives near Stone Mountain. I'm not sure how - but he found someone willing/able to handle the warranty repair.

BTW - I found out from the co-worker - that LG stands for Life's Good - and this company was previously known as "Goldstar."
