Needs more watermark

Has to be a fake - nobody drinks Fosters

onewhippedpuppy 12-03-2013 05:54 AM

Looks and reads like a fake to me.

livi 12-03-2013 06:12 AM

Excellent. The clutch is worth more than my whole Carrera.

A Danish strong beer would prolly total the whole car then..

rick-l 12-03-2013 06:20 AM

No way anyone in corporate America would refer to the the driver as "the man" in 2004.

pavulon 12-03-2013 11:01 AM

looks like an inter-dealership fax.

ZAMIRZ 12-03-2013 11:07 AM

You should go work for CNN.

Yep, personal memo written locally. Corporate lawyer-speak does not read/sound like this.

However, you can bet your last dollar that Porsche legal is looking into the crash and seeking to control the company's possible exposure. No doubt lawsuits are going to be filed in the wake of this accident. Deepest pockets are the main target, then down the list.

They wouldn't pass up an opportunity to pick up someone who does this kind of really hard-hitting investigative work.

Not the first lawsuit for the CGT. There was one maybe four years ago. Driver crashed at a race track. Passenger family sued. Porsche participated in the settlement (small %). Thread on here somewhere....

Will you be a reference or shall I just point them to this thread?

If it's on the internet, it's gotta be true!

The TMZ watermark on that "memo" doesn't exactly lend credibility either.....

VaSteve 12-03-2013 12:57 PM

I'm not worried about the watermark. TMZ put that on there like the Smoking Gun does.

The language is suspect, but the point is that, it's basically a fragile flower wrapped around a bomb. Like you couldn't drive it anywhere. I have seen them driven.

biosurfer1 12-03-2013 01:04 PM

You should look into TMZ's accuracy before making fun of them. I'd put their credibility up against any of the major news outlets any day.

Jeeez you guys don't do much research do you? The fax is real and to make sure I called the "performance sales" person at the local San Diego Porsche dealer that was doing those type of sales when the GT came out and he verified that Porsche San Diego had also received a fax about a month before their first GT was due to arrive. It covered people that would walk in to buy one, their first couple had been preordered AND paid for in full by collectors one of whom also raced with POC on the west coast. He did note that there was only one person at the dealer that could do the test drives when the GT came in and it wasn't him!

Bollocks.

DanielDudley 12-03-2013 01:26 PM

Anyone who doesn't know about this car by now has either not been paying attention, or has been drinking freely of the blue and orange Kool Aid.

Forget CNN, you could get a job at FOX!
Well done John.
