I thought of that. I thought long and hard on that, as a matter of fact. It would have probably been the difference in reaching that magic 100 hp mark (it currently has mid 90-ish hp). I worried about cylinder stability and long-term reliability, though. In the six years I've owned this thing, I've put just over 40,000 miles on it (hence the rebuild), so I ride it a lot.
And, in the end, I'm just not sure I'm good enough to really "need" or justify any more power than it already has. If I'm not careful, that front wheel comes up all too easily as it is.

Photos of your bike do not do it justice. I recall seeing it at Kie's shop. The paint is amazing. One of the nicest Supersports I've ever seen.!

Why thank you. I was quite smitten with it as well, when we first "met" over at Kie's. It looks even better from behind the handlebars. :D
Rot 911, you will find my level of "addiction" quite common among 900 SS owners. They are the classic "the whole is greater than the sum of the parts" kind of bike. No one thing stands out (at least on paper), but it all comes together out on the road. These things are just a hoot to ride. A large part of that is the easy torque available at the flick of a wrist - the 750's don't have that, or at least not as much. Grab that 900 and never look back...
