Anybody know of a good Vette forum?

Just got into the Vette world and would like to know if anyone has experience with a good forum (such as this one) for Vette owners? One with a technical slant would be perfect...

What did you get?

After I move the Carrera, a C6 Zo6 will be a serious contender as a replacement. Maybe even a C5 Zo6, you just cant beat them for cost to performance value. While I love the 911, 50 k into hot rodding one is an easy number to hit. I just can't justify it, no matter how much I want to. If I was in a different tax bracket, I would be able to justify it.

While the Corvette forum is good. I don't think any forum is as good as Pelican!

Personal experience with that one? That was the first option that popped up on Google, and I'm checking it out...seems decent so far.

I went with an 84 C4. It's in great shape mechanically and structurally (even the interior is good), and the price was impossible to say no to. I tried to get my wife to talk me out of it, but she said, "Go for it."

my wife is way too permissive, also.

I recently bought a C5 convertible after selling my Boxster, and joined Corvetteforum.com.

Great place so far, and a wealth of information on all generations of Corvettes. After quick searches I was able so quickly solve a few niggling issues I had with my car.

I had a 84 Vett. The only gremlins the vehicle had was the electronic dash and the rear single leaf spring. Sometimes you can have an erratic idle on these cars but that is due to incorrect TPS adjustments on the throttle body's Cross fire injection. I am sure these have been corrected by now. The small block in these vehicle are almost bullet proof. A good vehicle for its time.

THis is funny that this comes up. I have been stalking Corvette c3s. I love the original chrome bumper ones, and the price is pretty good. Plus, I want to learn how to work with fiberglass. I'll have to look into the covetteforum.com.

Any pics?

This is similar to the one I am looking at...

I have a 72 big block and have had a 1964 years ago.
Both look better than they drive.

The Pelican forums ruin you for "others" , in my experience.

really dig c5 Z06s. They look markedly different than other modern 'vettes.

wrapyourazzinfiberglass.com ?

friendsdontletfriendsdrivechevrolet.com ?

(sorry, couldn't resist)
The new Vette is a decent car for the money. I sold Chevy in `84 and the new Vette looked cool but IMO rode like a buckboard and the suspension was not setup correctly. I'm sure aftermarket folks have found fixes for that since then.

Too funny

I love it how when the boxster came out it was a POS and for hairdressers. Now, they seem like a bargain and great fun.

I'm not a vette guy but I love reading the argument for a 911 vs. a modern vette, especially when $$ is mentioned.

just look at the performance numbers vs. money for a 2006 cayman S and a vette. then look at the cost of ownership. i think my next toy will be a vette. just saying.
