Job Search

Just shy of the end of my rope at work, I am looking for opinions regarding job search firms, placement firms, head hunters, etc. At this time in my life (53 with 30+years of experience, {not with the same employer}) I need to find something that provides a level of satisfaction beyond a paycheck.

As always, any input is sincerely appreciated.

Are you on LinkedIn? I have had a massive number of recruiters and headhunters contact me about opportunities thanks to LinkedIn. I use Indeed for job searches, which pulls from the other search engines.

What do you do? What kind of money do you need? Can you move?

What do you do? What have you done to build your network in your industry? Do you attend your industry conferences?

You MUST take responsibility for 'branding" yourself and getting your name out there. Linkedin is very good first step. However, the obvious signal that somebody is looking for a job is lots of Linkedin updates and activity.

First of the year is always a lot of job changing. Get out in front of the it.

your mileage may vary.
