Smile The Life Clock

I caught myself asking a good friend how his old bones were feeling in some cold winter 15-20F weather lately.

geezus we're old when we start asking friends how their artificial hips and knees are holding up, and the weather is suddenly important topics of conversation...

so I propose the life clock:

feel free to add or addendum.

PreTeen: yes there is a Santa Claus, Easter Bunny and Tooth Fairy, roller skates and bikes.

Teenage years - body is invincible. Dad can I borrow the keys to the car?

20-30 years old, bachelor parties and keggers and dorm room college girls.

30-40 family and career building years, damn a mortgage payment and electrical bills are expensive!

40-50 there has to be something better in life, what does it mean searching years.

50-60.............how's your health?, Divorce Parties with old saggy tit strippers.

60-70, I'm still here spending my retirement $$$ bwah ha ha ha to you kids no inheritance for you.

70+ Aunt Hilda passed, should we send flowers?

80+ Can you help me bend over and tie my shoes?

90+ What the hell, I'm going sky diving as I'm going to die anyways.

A few years ago I had 9 friends die that year.......I said it was terrible, I couldn't even name them all at the same time at the end of that year. Said next year, I'd better keep a written list......Then decided: Naw, just be a few this year, so no need....Well, had 14 die that year and still couldn't list them all.....

Now at 62, I'm just trying to spend money faster so my non-deserving step-kids/step grandkids aren't chasing hookers in a new Ferrari someday........

You could adopt a few of us. We'd make sure your money was well spent and your cars and motorcycles were warm and well taken care of.

Man, do I hear all this. I turned 70 this year. I've got a couple of risk factors that my doc is doing a good job of managing. I hope. But family and friends - they're dropping out with alarming regularity. I don't dwell on this, I guess maybe I'm a little fatalistic, but I do begin to wonder just how long I'll last.

48 here, and can feel the weather pretty well due to my car accident last year (some fool ran a stop sign and blasted into the side of my 944 in August, and I spent 6 months off work learning how to walk again from 17 broken bones).

Just today, I got a different job within the same company I work for, and will be able to finally stop working on the production floor (rubber injection presses and assemblies) after nearly 15 years, and will have an air conditioned position within the prototype lab that will be clean, quiet, less muscle stress, and healthier.....i'm thrilled.

At 62 yesterday I told my surgeon after my clear check up that I wasn't gonna give up bacon for life just to live another 20 minutes in the end. He thought that was pretty funny. But then I call him "Bob The Blade " as well.

I had a job interview in SWFL last week via Skype. If it pans out, I'm leaving the great white north pronto.

Many happy returns on your belated birthday Targa. Hope the wife is doing well.

As told to me by a 93 year old man many years ago "When I was young I had to pee with my dick under the fence rail so I didn't get any in my face, now that I'm older I have to toss it over the fence rail so I don't get any on my shoes."

I'm 63 and have another 50 days until I retire from full time driving. I'm going part time, so then when the office calls me and says "you have to be in Chicago at 4 am to go to NY, I can say no thanks. I'll have the money, the time, and a wife who says ok. Life, as of today, is good. Hope tomorrow is too. Plus I can still get around good on these legs.

As above and thanks to you as well. Mj is not doing good, but we are dealing with it as well as can be expected. I will pass your thoughts on to her as well.
