Breakdown 1K miles from home.....more adventures of JB
 

So.....driving a Chevy 2500 4x4 in Vail, CO. Tie rod decides to give it up......fortunately not at speed. 25 mph and in a turn. Almost took out a mommy wagon.

Backed up....noticed a tracking issue. Got out and found the front wheels looked my kids teeth before braces. Backed it up some more as I was partially blocking the entrance to the strip mall....Safeway and the State Liquor outlet. Doan wanna pizzoff the locals and get into a gun fight.

2.5 hours later....AAA showed up. Waiting on the prognosis.

Moral of the story.....ALWAYS.....have a good flashlight, adequate gas and a good book. It was -2F and I had good supplies......my streamlight flash was the schizzle. Local PD came by....said hi, showed my ID and I was sober.....got thru most of the book and kept warm with engine and heater running.

BAD....fargin asswipe shuttle drivers gave me crap. After three plus, I dragged one out and showed the dangling tie rod, suggested my wanker was bigger....told him to get on the radio and tell the next driver that gave me doodie I was gonna smack 'em.

Anyways....9am I get the repair estimate....maybe.

Temps are up, might hit the low 20s. Time to grab the boards and go slide.

No worries, green font or a smiley at the end is cool. I have a sense of humor. Flew and spent two weeks getting dorked after I met the broad on the AMTRAK....this is an event to tell my sons.....if I had any.....since I don't....gonna warn my daughters about guys like me.

Well the timeshare at Beaver Creek was awesome as was the snow. 4 days on the slopes and my knees are killing me. Back in Colorado Springs and trying to get a flight to So CA. Truck held together.
